Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to Roosevelt High School! We appreciate the decision you have made to be a part of the Roosevelt High School family. We know you will have an exciting and rewarding school year!
Roosevelt High School represents a tapestry of hope where over 30 different language groups from 60 different countries are represented. We are a school that not only acknowledges but celebrates diversity! We know the importance of treating everyone with dignity and respect. This type of environment will prepare you for global citizenship and make you an asset in the world of work. Our partnership with the College Board through the EXCELerator Project will prepare you for the next step in your life- COLLEGE.
We invite you to participate in the many extracurricular activities at Roosevelt High School. Be sure to ask your counselor, division teacher, AVID coach, or Link Crew leader about all of our diverse clubs. We have designed a Student Development Program with you in mind that will provide you with the training needed to be successful in your high school journey. Learn about the Seven Habits training available to RHS students. Prepare for a leadership role by joining our dynamic Student Council! Getting involved in school activities is a good way to stay focused on graduation. We not only help you with high school, but we are serious about helping you make a successful transition into post-secondary education. So be sure to visit our College and Career Resource Center. We care about you and your future!
Parents, you are our partners in your child’s education. We welcome you to our parent meetings. Our monthly Local School Council meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come and be active members in your school community!
Students, best wishes for a successful 2007/2008 school year!
